In the country of Alberto Santos Dumont, the heroes of Senta a Pua! and many others, of Embraer and many other aerospace companies, the largest aviation museum in Latin America had to be located, the Aerospace Museum (Musal), located in the historic Campos dos Afonsos, in Rio de Janeiro. With a precious collection, which includes some aircraft that are unique in the world, and models from literally every era, from the dawn of flight to the Jet Age, including both World Wars, the Musal is a precious and immensely valuable heritage, and a true Mecca for all aviation enthusiasts in the country! And in the last 20 years, thanks to a new vision of the institution, initiated by the management of Air Brigadier (Ref) Márcio Bhering Cardoso, the institution has been renewing itself year after year, adding new cultural spaces and themed rooms, and expanding its collection open to visitors, with the restoration of more historic aircraft. Today, the museum continues to improve and become more modern, with new resources and technologies, now under the leadership of the current director, Air Brigadier General Maurício Carvalho Sampaio, and in this video, we give a first presentation of this great museum – a casual tour, just enjoying the history and passion for aviation that emanate from each of its aircraft, the exhibits – and also from the entire incredible team that maintains this historical and cultural heritage of Brazil.
