Viral Forcing High School Students to Kneel in Surabaya, Ivan Sugianto Case Spreads to Allegations of Money Laundering

SURABAYA, KOMPAS.TV - The figure of Ivan Sugianto, a resident of Surabaya, is currently in the spotlight. Because he was blinded by anger, Ivan, who is the parent of a high school student, had the heart to act arbitrarily against a high school student in Surabaya City, East Java. Before being arrested by the police, Ivan Sugianto, the perpetrator of intimidation of a high school student with the initials ES, made a video of an apology. Ivan apologized for behaving arrogantly and forcing the student with the initials ES to apologize while prostrating. Ivan admitted that he regretted causing a commotion and was willing to surrender himself to the police. This case had actually been resolved peacefully at the end of October by both parties, namely the parents of the student. However, ES's school did not want to end there. The school continued the legal process by reporting Ivan to the police because Ivan had caused a commotion around the school and intimidated his students. The case of student bullying carried out by Ivan Sugianto turned out to have long consequences and spread to another case, namely alleged money laundering. Ivan Sugianto is known to be a businessman who owns a number of entertainment venues in Surabaya. PPATK found suspicious flows and transactions from Ivan's account. Because of this finding, PPATK blocked Ivan's account and also Ivan's entertainment club account.
