Around 400 men, including military police from 11 battalions, civil police and members of the Public Prosecutor's Office, went up to Rocinha, in the south zone of Rio, in the early hours of Tuesday (17), with the aim of arresting 34 drug traffickers from other states who were allegedly hiding in the largest favela in Brazil. The agents left the location arresting only one: Kaio Alves Ferreira, accused of leading the Comando Vermelho in Goiás. Another wanted man was also detained. In addition, the operation seized a toy rifle, a grenade, some ammunition and drugs. Three people were shot. One of them died instantly.
