We therefore find the outlined intertwining with certain members of the hard core who are guilty of this undesirable. It does not do the club and all its supporters any good. A referee who was assaulted during a supporters' tournament in De Kuip was asked by an employee of the Supporters' Affairs department to resolve the matter "outside of justice". This is evident from research by BOOS and NRC, based on previously undisclosed criminal files, apps, e-mails and conversations with those involved. The suspects, members of Feyenoord's hard core, will soon be tried for the assault. Hooligans, who are involved in anti-Semitic, homophobic statements and death threats, are facilitated by Feyenoord. The club organizes parties for supporters' associations that are partly led by convicted hooligans. A member of the hard core who gave the Nazi salute and was convicted of making death threats against the Roze Kameraden, was able to attend the contract extension of Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow and a private party of the club, despite an area ban at De Kuip. He is also said to have been in Spain with Feyenoord at the same time as the suspect of the assault on the referee, during preparations for the Champions League match against Girona FC.
