A family of three made a home out of a former barn. Petra was constantly looking for what else she could do. And she didn't stop at the first visit. Mirjana and Petra became friends. Mirjana found support in Petra, which is often more necessary than anything else. It is difficult to describe in words what a thirty-two-year-old woman did for complete strangers, for a family with a daughter suffering from cerebral palsy, whose home is a stable. They received it as a gift together for land from the wife of a deceased friend. Despite having a social apartment in Karlovac, which they got to use precisely because of their sick daughter, they chose to live in a barn. They lived there in a small space together with their son, daughter-in-law and their two children. Mirjana and Vladimir Goršćak slept on the floor. It was difficult to get money for all the necessities. That's why, they say, they decided to come to the village where they can have chickens, a pig, plant something and survive more easily. They started building a house here, but not everything went according to plan. They are stuck in a barn, in a room that is also their kitchen, bedroom and living room, without water or a bathroom.
