On the outskirts of São Paulo, Venezuela is Veneza City. The occupation in the Fazenda da Juta neighborhood, in the East Zone of the capital of São Paulo, has become a shelter for 40 families of Venezuelan immigrants who fled the neighboring country in search of a better life in Brazil. The occupation was built in 2021 in an environmental preservation area that belongs to the City of São Paulo and should undergo repossession soon, according to the administration of Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB).
