He adds: “Let life be a conscious journey. Life is a search, life is a path.” Wise words from a man who has dedicated his entire life to researching the human soul, investigating questions such as the passage of time, facing death, identity, happiness, grief and loss. Ramón Bayés has dedicated more than six decades to helping people cope with illness, to say goodbye to life with peace of mind and to bear losses. In the late 1970s, he specialized in the field of Health Psychology, working with cancer patients, HIV patients and palliative care units. He holds a PhD in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Barcelona and a diploma in Clinical Psychology from the same university. Since 2002 he has been an emeritus professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. In 1995 he received the 'Pavlov Prize' from the Catalan Society of Behaviour Analysis and Therapy for his entire body of work. He is the author of more than 700 specialized and popular publications. He has also written numerous books, including 'Facing Life, Waiting for Death' (2006), 'Living: Guide to an Active Retirement' (2009), 'The Psychologist Who Sought Serenity' (2010), 'The Emotional Clock: On Time and Life' (2018) and 'A Long Journey Through Life' (2019). #Let'sLearnTogether
