The Office of Foreign Assets Control at the US Treasury Department has blacklisted several individuals from Bosnia and Herzegovina for organizing the celebration of the unconstitutional 'Republika Srpska Day' and supporting Milorad Dodik's financial network. The statement states that five individuals were blacklisted for helping Milorad Dodik's family enrich themselves at the expense of public funds. In addition, eight individuals were sanctioned for organizing the celebration, which they did on Dodik's instructions. Among those sanctioned are the current Minister of Interior Siniša Karan and the President of the Constitutional Court Džerard Selman. The statement also states that Dodik last year ordered a group of SNSD members to draft a plan for the secession of RS from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The US Treasury Department says that the sanctioned Karan was among the individuals who drafted that plan. Milorad Dodik called the sanctions meaningless and hypocritical of the outgoing administration and a desperate attempt to cause harm, destabilize Republika Srpska and impose a unitary concept of BiH, contrary to the will of the Serbian people.
