The 7-kilometer Iisakkipää trail was chosen as one of the day hike destinations for the winter vacation. We set off from the Urho Kekkonen National Park gate in Saariselkä and walked the route counterclockwise. We stopped in the strong wind to drink warm glöggs on the edge of the Pääsiäskuru ravine, and continued our hike as dusk fell via the peak of Iisakkipää towards the Aurora day hut.
