When it comes to the best street in Prague, many people think of the luxurious Pařížská street in the city center. But the reality is far from this common idea. The famous boulevard full of the most expensive goods was defeated by the streets of Vršovice and Karlín. Which ones are they? We took a look at this at Realitní kancelář Kotula in the next installment of Žít Prahu. The American newspaper New York Times chose Krymská street among the top European streets. Even in 2010, this location was known for its high crime rate. The dramatic transformation began with one single establishment, Café V lese. The retro style from the 1970s attracted customers, and it wasn't long before other businesses opened. In addition to the cafés, the unique Strojovna is also worth a stop, where there is only one motto - don't throw away what you can repair. According to the Time Out ranking, the second best street is Křižíkova street in Karlín. The list of businesses in this district would be enough for a separate video. Paradoxically, the devastating floods of 2002 breathed new life into Karlín. Within a short period of time, this area was transformed from the ground up and today it is practically a synonym for good food, entertainment and culture for the people of Prague. Do you agree with the assessment of foreign newspapers? Do these two streets really belong at the top of the list of the best streets not only in Prague, but also in Europe?
