Well, we have three different options joining us to find out! Aside from the original Mk3, we have one with a turbocharger, one with a supercharger, and one with individual throttle bodies. So, let’s see how these cars compare. Starting with the original MX-5, it has a naturally aspirated 2-liter 4-cylinder engine that can produce 160 hp and 188 Nm of torque. It tips the scales at 1,100 kg. Next to it we have the Mk3 with individual throttle bodies. As a result, this car now houses a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and also comes with a couple of other modifications, including new camshafts and a massive rear wing. As a result, this car can now make 239hp and 285Nm, and still weighs the same as the stock car, at 1,100kg. Then we have the turbocharged and supercharged cars. Both come with the same 2-litre NA 4 engine and weigh 1,100kg. However, while the supercharged car can produce 248hp and 289Nm, the turbocharged Mk3 can produce 262hp and 306Nm. So will the more powerful car snatch it away? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE! Instagram – /carwow Tiktok – /carwow Facebook – /carwowuk Twitter – /carwowuk
