On Wednesday, December 9, on #TVR1, Raluca Bibiri and the Adevăruri team from the past presented us with the episode "Securitatea, the armed arm of the party". The State Security Department has always been spoken of with fear. The history of this secret service, or, in short, the Securitate, is recorded mainly from the perspective of those who tried to prove the abuses attributed to it over half a century, starting with the dejist regime and up until '89. The documentary proposes an "insider" perspective, of those who confess their own experience as Securitate officers. We thus discover another vision of the Securitate, in which internal order prevails, with well-defined hierarchical reports between employees and, last but not least, a structure entirely subordinate to the Party.
