New river, new season – a preview of a unique series! Welcome to the first episode of a new series in which I will take you to one of the most beautiful and demanding trout rivers in Poland. This is a special place for me – not only because of its character and the fish it harbors, but also because of family history. Several decades ago, my dad spent his fishing years here, and now it's time for me to try my hand at the same river. This season, I plan to devote a large part of my time to it and show you what fishing looks like with artificial baits that I create myself. These are rubber baits in three sizes (6, 7.5 and 8.5 cm) and natural colors that imitate small river fish – the main food of trout. Their work in the current and versatility allow them to adapt to different spots, and my goal will be to prove that they can be effectively fished in all conditions. In this episode, I introduce you to the atmosphere of this river – its beauty, challenges and the magic that it has for me. I will learn every turn and obstacle, get to know the habits of its inhabitants and document my attempts to outsmart the cautious trout. This is a preview of a series in which we will experience both successes and failures together.
