The tribune "Edvard Kardelj - the ruin of Yugoslavia?" was held on Tuesday, May 7, in the "Youth Tribune" club of the Cultural Center of Novi Sad. The author and lecturer was MSc Ognjen Karanović, historian. At the beginning of the lecture, Karanović recalled the biography of the Slovenian politician: he graduated from a teacher's school in Ljubljana. From 1928 he was a member of the KPJ, and in 1930–32. it was closed. From 1934 to 1937, he worked in the Comintern in Moscow, where he met Josip Broz, who included him in the new leadership of the KPJ. He founded the Communist Party of Slovenia in 1937, and from 1940 until his death he was a member of the "top" leadership of the KPJ. He is the co-founder of the Liberation Front of Slovenia.
