In the Las Esquinas community, if you want to go to San Marcos or Masatepe, we head west. If we go to the intersection, we continue straight ahead. Remember to respect the traffic signs, it is everyone's duty. Respecting them is one of the ways we can prevent traffic accidents. In the last video, we titled it NICARAGUA with the BEST ROADS in Central America. Well, this is the second part. In the previous video, we went through Wiwili, Quilali, El Jícaro and part of the Nueva Segovia department. Today, we are traveling along the Pan-American Highway. And we reiterate that according to the Global Competitiveness Index of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Nicaragua occupies one of the privileged positions, being named one of the countries with the best roads in America. Here is the evidence: Nicaragua has radically transformed its road infrastructure in recent years, managing to greatly boost the economic development of all Nicaraguans. The last time a Costa Rican told me, having a vehicle in Nicaragua is cheap, you only pay the road tax per year and you don't have to worry anymore, in Costa Rica it is different. The toll is charged at the toll station, and it has 3 lanes; - left lane exclusively for electronic payment for all types of vehicles -, two mixed toll lanes - cash and electronic payment - the right lane is for wide loads and all types of vehicles. That is why, where I have been told that Nicaragua is the country with the best roads, we Nicaraguans stick our chests out. El Crucero was previously District VII of Managua, polarly known as the mountains of Managua but it became an independent municipality in 2000. In the sector of the obelisk, it connects with San Rafael del Sur and we continue straight on to Managua. About 23 thousand vehicles circulate daily on this southern Pan-American highway. This municipality has a coffee-growing tradition and has as a special characteristic a very cool climate in the middle of a department with a warm atmosphere. Its urban center is the town of El Crucero, which has a very famous hotel, the Capri, there are also canopy tours and several restaurants with international food, as well as lookouts with wide panoramic views. An interesting place is the El Ventarrón Community, from where you can see the ocean coast and feel the strong winds that blow over this mountain top with such force that only grass grows and there are almost no trees. There is often fog in the streets of El Crucero, and the smell of sulfur brought by the winds from the neighboring Masaya Volcano. At kilometer 22.4 was the Quinta Angélica, a luxurious neoclassical residence that was located in El Crucero, it was built in the 40s since then it was claimed that paranormal phenomena were experienced in the place, so it was uninhabited for a long time and rumors of it being haunted were spreading. Today there is only brush, the house was cleared at the request of the population because many young people occupied it to perform satanic rituals. Traveling from the Cruise to Managua, the municipal territory ends at kilometer 12.9, I am Danilo Parajon, see you in the next video.
