The development of translation and interpretation policies in the Judiciary is a complex process that can be significantly enriched by terminology and the production of bilingual video guides in Portuguese-Libras. These resources not only facilitate the understanding of legal procedures by deaf communities that access legal contexts, but also promote the guarantee of linguistic rights and access to information. In addition, legislation aimed at the rights of deaf people plays a crucial role in establishing guidelines that reinforce the need for qualified translators and interpreters to/from/between sign languages. These standards directly impact research and professional practices within the Judiciary, encouraging the training of qualified professionals who understand the importance of legal systems, as well as are attentive to accurate and culturally referenced interpretation.
