The narrow-gauge steam locomotive 99 7244-9 of the Harz Narrow Gauge Railways, which has been parked since 1999, is to be refurbished after more than 20 years. Since then, it has been parked in the Hasselfelde locomotive shed and was looked after by the IG HSB. On March 31, 2022, it was picked up by a Harz camel with an auxiliary train and taken to Wernigerode. In Benneckenstein and Wernigerode there was a crossing with a steam train. The film shows the four-hour unusual journey summarized in twenty minutes. Unfortunately, the weather on that day was not quite on our side and it was hazy and very windy. On May 15 of this year, a new locomotive is to be put into the shed in Hasselfelde. The boiler deadline for the Selketalmallet locomotive 99 5906 is expiring. It will complete all special trips beforehand and then move into its new home and hopefully be refurbished again in due course.
