If you want a small group of 5-8, it is recommended to take an aquarium of 30 liters. It is better to take an aquarium with a cover glass. If you do not have one, you can make a lid from ordinary transparent polycarbonate or plastic mesh with small cells. This is necessary so that the newly hatched crabs do not escape from the aquarium. Step 2 Place the aquarium in a warm place, but away from batteries and direct sunlight. Place a thermometer to measure the temperature in the aquarium. The optimal temperature for crabs is 23-25 ​​° C. If the room is cool, you will need a small heater, which must be placed inside the aquarium. Step 3 Visually divide the aquarium into two parts. On one part of the water, pour small pebbles of 2-5 mm fraction and a height of 2 cm. On the other land - a nutrient substrate for plants 5 cm high and then coconut shavings 5 ​​cm high. Step 7 Do not feed the new inhabitants for 1-2 days while they are stressed. Then the crabs themselves will start looking for food in moss, coconut shavings and plants. Crabs are omnivorous, so sometimes give them scalded or dry vegetables, frozen or fresh bloodworms.
