On Sunday, May 30, 2021, two of the last two remaining M6C-NFs of the Ruhrbahn Mülheim were unusually deployed on line 112 - and on a sunny Sunday. I took this as an opportunity to explore line 112 extensively with these vehicles. Line 112 runs between Mülheim, Hauptfriedhof and Oberhausen, Neumarkt and is operated by vehicles from both the RUhrbahn Mülheim and the STOAG Oberhausen. A diverse range of vehicles can be found there - the vehicle types used are M6C-NF (TW 277, 278), MGT6D of the Ruhrbahn Mülheim (TW 201-203), MGT6D of the STOAG Oberhausen (TW 205-210) and NF2 of the Ruhrbahn Mülheim (TW 8001-8015), and less frequently also NF2 of the Ruhrbahn Essen (TW 1601-1627). The tram line was only extended and opened to Oberhausen 25 years ago, on June 1, 1996. On this day, Oberhausen received a tram for the first time in several decades - and to this day it is the only tram line that runs in Oberhausen. To mark the 25th anniversary of the tram in Oberhausen, historic vehicles also ran between Oberhausen, Neumarkt and Oberhausen, Landwehr on this Sunday. If you've already made your way along line 112, then of course these historic vehicles were also included. In this video, a large part of the route of line 112 from Mülheim, Hauptfriedhof to Oberhausen, MAN Turbo can be seen both from the outside and from the inside - with various vehicle types and also the four special vehicles that drove on the route that day.
