Good day to all, you are on the channel "Vek Motorov" and today we will discuss the wonderful creation of the Soviet Union and its modernization in the era of modern Russia DT-175 "Volgar" is a tracked tractor that was produced by the Volgograd Tractor Plant (VgTZ) from 1986 to 1992 (modification DT-175S) and from 1992 to 1994 (modification DT-175M). The total number of tractors produced was about 16 thousand units. "Volgar", like the DT-75, on the basis of which it was developed, is an agricultural tractor. The traction class of the DT-175 belongs to the third class. During the era of perestroika, when clouds of economic and political upheavals were gathering over the country, the Volgograd Tractor Plant began developing and serial production of a new model. At that time, the concept of the prevalence of tracked tractors in agriculture was unshakable, and agriculture itself worked according to the old collective farm system. The widespread opinion that the Volgar was supposed to replace the DT-75 is erroneous. This is not true: it was supposed to continue producing the DT-75, since this tractor had not yet exhausted its possibilities for modernization and improvement. In addition, the DT-75 was cheaper than the Volgar.
