Tour de Ruhr is a six-part television series that was first broadcast on WDR in 1981. In the series, the Stratmann family, Karlheinz, his wife Lisbeth and their fifteen-year-old daughter Martina, together with his work colleague Harald and his girlfriend Ines, go on a multi-day bike trip through the Ruhr region. They ride from Dortmund through the northern Ruhr region to Duisburg. A beautiful journey back in time to the Ruhr region of the 80s. But how has the Ruhr region, or rather the Stratmanns' route, changed since then? We'll find out?
