Between chewing gum and toothpaste, there is only one tablet! We have all already experienced this uncomfortable situation of not being able to brush our teeth at noon, due to lack of access to a toothbrush, toothpaste, or simply to a water point. And yet, our current lifestyles are rather inconsistent with classic oral hygiene. This is why a start-up from the canton of Fribourg, more precisely nestled in Bulle, decided to look into the development of a “toothpaste tablet”, called Tootab. By crunching this solution composed of active ingredients, we quickly obtain a sort of cleansing foam that spreads on the teeth and aims to rebalance our dental Ph. We can then swallow it all: and that's it, without needing water and in a few seconds. A Swiss-made product that is still not very popular The start-up Vixelia is lucky to be able to sell its tablets in independent Swiss pharmacies and drugstores, as well as on its website. While it has found its followers, this concept of “brushing teeth without toothpaste” still has a long way to go. Most people prefer chewing gum, wanting to find a feeling of freshness after a meal or a sports session, or else wait to be able to brush their teeth when the opportunity arises. For Vixelia, the Tootab combines the two and offers a healthy and simple solution for teeth, according to its co-founder Amanda Melis. A tablet of the future? We don't yet know how we will brush our teeth in the future, but what is certain is that certain areas could find a use for a waterless and easy-to-use solution. For example, in space, who knows? #toothpaste #ToothpasteTablet #Vixelia
