The Rara Música channel features audio and videos that are nonexistent or hard to find on the Internet. The Bar Academia Program was produced and broadcast monthly by Rede Manchete, between 1983 and 1985 (and rebroadcast in 1987). It was hosted by Walmor Chagas, who interviewed guests with the help of Sérgio Cabral and Geraldo Carneiro, between interpretations by the participant and presentations of musical numbers from his work by other artists. The idea was to present a music academy similar to academies of letters, but set in a bar. Each guest chose a sponsor (at the Brazilian Academy of Letters each academic occupies the chair that belonged to a famous writer from the past); in the case of Tom Jobim, the one he chose was Ary Barroso. In this edition, as if the songs weren't enough, we also have an interview with Tom, his ecological positions, jokes, and stories. Other editions of the program featured Chico Buarque, Milton Nascimento ( • Milton Nascimento on the program Bar Aca... ) , Edu Lobo, Paulinho da Viola, Fagner and Caetano Veloso, as well as other artists. 00:07:27 Samba do Avião (Tom Jobim) 00:13:32 I Love You (Tom Jobim/Chico Buarque) TOM JOBIM, CHICO BUARQUE, TELMA COSTA 00:21:30 Waters of March (Tom Jobim) 00:26:34 Matita Perê (Tom Jobim/Paulo César Pinheiro) TOM JOBIM 00:34:04 I Know That I Will Love You (Tom Jobim/Vinicius de Moraes) CAETANO VELOSO 00:40:19 Orpheus of the Conception (Tom Jobim/Vinicius de Moraes) ANA MARIA MAGALHÃES, HAROLDO COSTA, GLÓRIA CRISTAL 00:46:26 If Everyone Was Like You (Tom Jobim/Vinicius de Moraes) ELIZETH CARDOSO 00:54:11 Others (Tom Jobim/Aloysio de Oliveira) ÂNGELA RORO 01:01:15 In the Batucada of Life (Ary Barroso) TOM JOBIM
