Even if the Austrian target network for 2030 is currently receiving a lot of attention, this week we can look at a project we have been working on for a long time: a comprehensive overview of the bus routes in use, firstly in Holland in Eindhoven (Hermes), then in Belgium in Antwerp, the Bus de Polder, and then in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. The hydrogen buses of the type Toyota Caetano H2 City Gold are already in operation at VGB in Bremerhaven. Later, new hydrogen bus solutions (Toyota Caetano H2 City Gold) were also used in some cases, which almost completely replaced the MAN NL 283/Lion's City from 2007 in the rest of the Rheinbahn diesel bus network. The complete replacement of the 2007 MAN solo buses with the Caetano H2. City Gold at Rheinbahn will only be available in 2024 and there will be more bus lines. When will the new hydrogen buses be available? This year they will be of the type Solaris Urbino 12 IV hydrogen. A total of 11 solo buses will be available at DVG in Duisburg. They will not be available until the end of 2024. Soon the new hydrogen buses will be available in Duisburg, Essen/Mülheim, Düsseldorf, Krefeld and Cologne/Bonn. They will also be available from the end of 2025.
