It's impressive what constructions have been built into the new (old) parliament building in Vienna! After almost 5 years of construction, the time had finally come in mid-January: the doors of the parliament building were opened again. The rush to the parliament was huge: around 25,000 people wanted to marvel at the newly renovated building on the first weekend after the opening. But many visitors don't know what exactly has been renovated here at the parliament and what impressive constructions are hidden in the building. For example, a steel structure was built directly under the columned hall to absorb the loads. But the new glass roof over the National Council Chamber is also really exciting in terms of construction! In my video today, I'll show you what special constructions are still in the parliament and how they were installed. Have fun! Here on my main channel everything revolves around the construction and operation of buildings in practice. These can be my own projects from my work as a civil engineer, but also projects that fascinate me outside of my job. I hope that I can get you excited about the topic of construction sites with the videos. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment or write me an email. Enjoy the videos!
