Jean Marc Deperrois, the poisoned affair The Deperrois affair, known as the 'poisoned Josacine affair', is that of a failed crime of passion. On Saturday 11 June 1994, little Emilie Tanay, 9 years old, died of cyanide poisoning. The poison was mixed with her antibiotic, Josacine. The grieving parents were suspected of the murder of their child, before investigators turned to Jean-Marc Deperrois. The man was the lover of Sylvie Tocqueville, the woman with whom the little girl was staying.
