In 1995, the Roda Viva featured writer, anthropologist, educator and politician Darcy Ribeiro, one of the most important Brazilian intellectuals. The program recalls when Darcy Ribeiro launched two new books: 'The Brazilian People' and 'Brazil as a Problem'. To interview him, we invited journalist Zuenir Ventura, who is a reporter for Jornal do Brasil; sociologist Maria Victoria Benevides, who is a professor at USP; commentator for Rede Cultura and director of Placar magazine, Juca Kfouri; journalist Marcos Augusto Gonçalves, who is the Sunday editor of Folha de S. Paulo; columnist José Castello for O Estado de S. Paulo; and journalist Ricardo Noblat, editor-in-chief of Correio Braziliense.
