After years of problems, delays and postponements, the time has finally come: the Arriva RE18 is now FINALLY officially running as a Three-Country Train between Germany, the Netherlands AND Belgium! Due to problems with the Belgians and their railways, and recently also flooding, the train has only been running to Liège since the end of June. The section between Aachen and Maastricht has been operated by Arriva since 2019, with their beautiful Limburg FLIRTs. And since June 30, 2024, the train has finally been running to Liège in Belgium, to Liège-Guillemins station! In this video we will travel to the far south of our country, to travel the entire Three-Country Train between Aachen, Maastricht and Liège! It promises to be a nice trip!
