Born in 1924 in Ioannina, Chrysoula Eliassa was arrested on March 25, 1944 by the occupying authorities of the city, along with other Jews, to be deported first to Auschwitz-Birkenau, and then to the Bergen-Belsen, Gelenau and Mauthausen camps, from where and was released. Of her entire family, only she and her sister survived. In this audio document, Chrysoula Eliasa recounts how she experienced the horrors of the concentration camps.
