In this video we were in Pommelsbrunn in the Nuremberg region in Middle Franconia. Here we went to the southern chain of the 1000 meter altitude trail, which is about 13.5 km long, overcomes about 600 meters in altitude and can be done in about 4 hours of walking time. Normally the tour would have started from the train station in Pommelsbrunn, but unfortunately there was no parking available there, so we had to use an alternative parking lot on the outskirts of town. From the parking lot it was a steep climb to the first two highlights, the Houbirg ring wall, which was built by the Celts, and the Hohle Fels, from which you have a great view of the Happurger reservoir and the surrounding landscape. The Hohle Fels is one of the most famous and popular viewpoints in the Nuremberg region, which can be reached from another parking lot in Förrenbach after just 1.2 km. Afterwards we went past great rocks in the direction of the Arzlohe chapel ruins. Then we went over the Hochberg, which at 619m is the highest point of the hike, in the direction of the Mühlkoppe, from which you also have a great view of the Hersbrucker Schweiz. Then we went back to our starting point. Link to the hike: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/803...
