Filming and editing: Luca Catasta For some, it's simply a train like many others. Yes, perhaps particularly fast. And quite beautiful to look at. But, in fact, it still remains a material agglomeration capable of moving people. From point A to point B, possibly in the shortest possible time. For those who are passionate about technology and for all those who still know how to marvel at the achievements of human ingenuity, however, the Freccia Rossa 1000 is something greater. It is the symbol of a country's industrial, design and intellectual capabilities. It is the sign of an Italy that, when it wants, is still able to demonstrate to the world how to do things well. It is a formidable instrument of human connection that many envy us. And that, in fact, has also been chosen by other countries on the planet. So it ended up bringing a bit of the Tricolore to the railway networks of half the world. It is difficult not to recognize it at first sight. Unmistakable in its red color. Impossible to mistake it for something else, so recognizable and expressive is the style impressed by the refined pencil of the Bertone body shop. A concept of mobility, more than a special vehicle. A universe of worlds and technology so effective that it has stuck in the collective imagination. So much so that the commercial name has taken the place of the vulgar one. And so, today, it is easier to hear "I'm going to Rome with the Freccia Rossa". Rather than "I'm taking the high speed train to go to the Capital". A bit like Jeep did, in the world of off-road vehicles, so to speak. This is the magic of the Freccia Rossa 1000. But this time we take you on board as protagonists. And not as simple passengers. Because this was the only way to tell you its story. A special thanks goes to all the railway workers, engine drivers, on-board and ground staff of the Italian State Railways without whom this vehicle could not even travel half a meter.
