His son Javier Cantero spoke to the press to announce the death of his father. The musician had been hospitalized, since the end of August, at the Cuyo Clinic in the City of Mendoza. The doctors detected a kidney condition and his health condition worsened on Wednesday, September 7. Cantero had been hospitalized since August 29, 2022 due to kidney problems. He underwent surgery that same day to remove a kidney, part of his spleen and a testicle. He died due to complications with his only remaining kidney. His son appeared before the press to announce the death of his famous father: “Unfortunately, he could not overcome the complications.
