Today I'm going to teach you how to pick triads on the guitar. Triads are chords made up of three notes, and they're very useful for enriching your picking and soloing. The first thing you should do is familiarize yourself with major, minor, and diminished triads in all positions on the fretboard. This will allow you to have a greater variety of options when it comes to improvising. When you're picking triads, it's important to keep in mind the melody you're creating. You can combine triads with scales to give more color and depth to your solo. A very effective technique is to arpeggiate triads, that is, play the notes separately instead of all together. This will give a cleaner and more melodic sound to your picking. Remember to also experiment with different rhythms and speeds when picking triads. Don't be afraid to try new things and find your own unique style. In short, picking triads is a great way to improve your skills as a guitarist and add variety to your solos.
