In the legend, they fall madly in love, but their villages were enemies and did not allow them to be together. Desperate, they seek help from the village shaman, who gives them a magic potion capable of transforming them into the Sun and the Moon. This way, they could be together forever, illuminating the world during the day and night. Legend has it that when the Moon is full and shines brightly in the sky, it is because the couple of lovers are closer to each other and that when the waning Moon appears, it is because the love of the two is further away, which causes the Moon's light to diminish. It can certainly be considered our Romeo and Juliet.
