Today I'd like to introduce the Meitetsu Chikko Line. This line is a very short one, starting at Oe Station on the Meitetsu Tokoname Line, 1.5km away, and ending at Higashi-Nagoya Port Station. The feature of this line is the diamond crossing, the only one of its kind in Japan, where the tracks cross at 90 degrees between two regular trains. When I actually arrived at the starting station, Oe Station, I noticed the sparse schedule... there were no trains for over eight hours, from around 8am to around 4am... The Chikko Line is a line that seems more interesting than I imagined... What is it like on the line, and what kind of trains run on it? Find out more in the video...
