In 1993, he went there as a volunteer to join the battle in Kalbajar. However, his departure coincided with the occupation of Kalbajar. Elshad, watching the events in Bashlibel village Azizov was surrounded with several local villagers learns. Thus, the 113-day siege, they retreat to the Caves in the mountains as a last refuge.
