Viação Cometa is one of the most famous passenger bus companies in Brazil, founded in the late 1940s by Italian immigrant Tito Mascioli in São Paulo (SP). Cometa became famous for its North American GM Parlor Diesel buses, which earned the nickname Morubixaba, but in the late 1950s, laws began to restrict imported vehicles and so they began to rely on the Rio de Janeiro bus manufacturer Ciferal. All of Viação Cometa's models were inspired by the North American school and, from the 1980s onwards, the company began to manufacture its own buses! The bus company created the Companhia Manufatureira Auxiliar company, also known as CMA, which began to manufacture the famous Flecha Azul, all of which were built on Scania chassis. Viação Cometa's buses became famous for being comfortable, fast thanks to their bodies made entirely of duralumin, and for their unique and imposing appearance. Learn about the history of Viação Cometa and its CMA bus factory, which still arouse passion in the Brazilian bus community today! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The history of GMC trucks and buses: • The HISTORY of GMC TRUCKS and VEHICLES The history of Scania in Brazil: • How SCANIA grew in BRAZIL ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get to know the blog Veículos & Histórias ???? https://veiculoshistorias.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music: Humidity - Silent Partner • Humidity – Silent Partner (No Copyrig...
