"Our breath is a mirror. It reacts to everything we experience in life," says Ralph Skuban, breathing trainer and yoga teacher. Conversely, our breath also influences our lives, can make us ill or ensure well-being and health. In a conversation with Jutta Ribbrock, Ralph Skuban explains how we breathe correctly to be healthy, calm and happy, why we should only breathe through our nose and not breathe too much. He combines traditional breathing exercises of the "old yogis" with more modern methods such as Buteyko, so that everyone can find the practice that suits them. Guided breathing exercises: During the conversation, Ralph Skuban also leads two guided breathing exercises: Breathing exercise 1 for natural breathing begins at 40:46; Breathing exercise 2, a Tibetan practice for letting go of emotional stress, begins at 1:05:41.
