Gina Prónay-Zakar worked in the communication profession for a decade and a half, when she decided to get out - from her previous work, life, and familiar environment. You step out of your comfort zone to change and change. One day at the end of December, he set off on a nine-month external and internal trip to Spain with a backpack, and at the end of September he came home to Budapest as a new person. Of course, the road was not that easy. The 35-year-old communications expert entered the world of work as a first-year university student, and for the next 17 years there was no exit. His career led from the small advertising newspaper in Szeged to Magyar Televízíó, where he worked until 2012. In the meantime, he turned his attention to sports, first only for his own health, and later he also obtained a coaching qualification to help others change their lifestyles. The beginning of 2012 brought drastic changes both professionally and personally. By the end of the summer, an illness that overturned everything, the death of his father, and the complete transformation of his working conditions had already burdened him more and more not only mentally, but also physically. During a long run on Margitsziget, he realized that although his father's dying and death taught him that there is no need to be afraid of death, his lifestyle led him to be afraid of only one thing: life itself. He decided to change and not to shred. Inspired by a TED talk, he decided to go on a vacation for almost a year: three thousand kilometers from Budapest and immeasurably far from his comfort zone. During the nine months he lived in an eco-community in Andalucia, he walked across the peninsula for 1,300 kilometers from Malaga in the southeast to Muxia in the northwest, he learned meditation techniques, and all the while he worked as a volunteer, for food and lodging. But most importantly, he learned to live, love, give and accept. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
