Around 2000 athletes from all over the world applied for the winter semester at the Cologne Sports University in July 2006 - 1000 ultimately took the exam, but not even half of them managed to qualify. The ten-hour entrance exam is pure stress: some tasks require speed and endurance, others require versatility and technique.
