I took a trip to Shin-Onsen Town in Hyogo Prefecture, located on the edge of the Kansai region. Though it is in the Kinki region, the scenery is exactly the same as Tottori Prefecture. I was reminded once again how completely different it is from Osaka, Kobe, and Kyoto. Nearby are the Amarube Bridge on the JR Sanin Main Line and Yumura Onsen. In terms of transport access, there is the Sanin Kinki Expressway, which is equivalent to an expressway. Some sections are still under construction, but in the future there are plans to connect it to Osaka via the expressway. There are also plans for the Sanin Shinkansen. It is basically the same as the Sanin region, and it seems to have strong economic ties with Tottori City and other areas. <Image source> - Geospatial Information Authority of Japan Map, https://maps.gsi.go.jp/ (some parts have been edited before posting)
