Even though we have definitions, theories, even refined information about what happens to our physiology from a chemical, neuronal, hormonal point of view, people still aren't happy. Among all the elements that are known there is a fundamental element for happiness. Giovanna Celia is a psychologist and strategic psychotherapist, in the clinical work carried out with 27,000 sessions and 20 years of work she has found an essential element to achieve happiness. It is not only through the knowledge of phenomena that human beings change themselves or their way of being, it is through deep work on their emotional state and functioning that human beings change and transform themselves. What do we need then to be happy? Happiness is not a permanent or static state, no emotion is; happiness is a principle, a rule, a motivation, a perspective, yes because first of all you have to believe that you can be happy, to be happy it is not enough to just wish it. The idea that being rich and famous makes everyone happy is a fantasy! Not everyone is interested in these things to feel good. So the first question to ask yourself is: "what do I need, at this moment in my life, to feel happy?" Because we do not always need the same things, our needs change from time to time depending on our age, the life cycle we are in, what happens around us. We must not think that what made us happy once must necessarily make us happy always, because things change and we must know how to adapt to changes. The more flexible, attentive and dynamic we are, the more easily we will be able to create the best conditions for happiness. There are many aspects that hinder us, the fear of disappointing others' expectations of us, the fear of judgment, being a minority yes because the happy are always fewer than the unhappy. The element that acts as a bridge to help us overcome obstacles and make us happy is: Courage.
