This channel started from the love for cars and this Trabant touched my soul like few cars did... It's the kind of car with real personality and soul. The communist cardboard car is stronger than you think, at least nowadays when we look at it and see how beautiful it is and what strange features it has. If you had to drive it daily and depend on it, I'm sure it would be a nightmare, but for a Sunday ride, I guarantee you, the experience is unique. The Trabant 601 was produced for almost 30 years and production ceased in 1990, which is very late. Mercedes, BMW, Audi, were already producing true luxury cars while the Trabant was rudimentary bad. That's part of its beauty, the 600 cm3 two-stroke engine, the on-board gearbox, the cardboard body which is actually duroplastic, the interior that looks like a living room from the 70s...
