Christmas, a time full of tradition and reflection. Nowhere is this better experienced than in the middle of the Ore Mountains - in the toy village of Seiffen. The place is a magnet for visitors, especially during Advent. Up to 20,000 visitors come to the village of 2,000 inhabitants every year to discover the magic of centuries-old mining tradition, toy making and lived Christian faith. The hard work underground and the Christian faith are still evident in the craftsmanship today. Above all in the candle arch or in the miner and angel figures, which are lovingly handcrafted by around 140 craft businesses in Seiffen. Always in sight, the mountain church. It stands on a mountain ledge right in the middle of the village and is the most frequently depicted church in the world in wood.
