This sponge cake base is the best fruit base/Viennese base that I know - you absolutely have to bake it! It tastes super fluffy, soft, tender, juicy and delicious and is perfect for all fruit cakes with toppings, but also as a base for very airy cakes! I haven't baked any other base for years when I make a fruit cake. ???????????? At the moment it's a great idea to use it as a base for a delicious strawberry cake. Ingredients for a base with a diameter of 26 cm (springform pan) or 28 cm (fruit base pan) ▶️ For the best fruit base: 120 g flour type 405 (normal household flour) 1 tsp baking powder 1 pinch of salt 100 g sugar 4 medium-sized eggs, at room temperature (!) 3 tbsp neutral cooking oil or 3 tbsp melted butter 1 tbsp white vinegar (I like to use balsamic or fruit vinegar) a little fat for the pan (28 cm diameter fruit cake pan or 26 cm springform pan) a little flour for the pan Have fun baking and good luck! ????????????
