Londres is a small roadside town in this wonderful province that never ceases to amaze us. The mythical route 40 has an infinite number of charms, and Londres is one of them. To begin with, this is the second oldest city in all of Argentina. Destroyed and rebuilt numerous times due to the Calchaquí wars, Londres is also a large producer of artisanal textiles and nuts, But there is something else, something that stands out above all things, and it is El Shincal. Shincal is a unique archaeological site in the country that takes us back to ancient times when the native peoples dominated the territory. The true natives were the Diaguitas, who were invaded by the Incas, and later by the Spanish until they disappeared. Shincal is today a witness to this civilization and its transformations, it is a Diaguita and Inca footprint in beautiful Catamarca, it is part of our history as Argentines. Many consider this place to be the Argentine Machu Picchu for its incredible landscapes and ruins that make it a unique and unforgettable destination.
