From May 1 to 4, the 4th level young guards camp organized by the Young Guard Center took place in the rural training center of the State Border Guard College "Janopole", Rēzekne district, in which a total of 85 young guards participated. Throughout the camp, the young guards were tested on knowledge and skills, and additionally strengthened their skills in field combat skills, first aid, weapons and marksmanship, topography and orientation and line training. As the head of the camp, Staff Sergeant Dainis Gudermanis, admitted, after the successful completion of the level 4 tests of the young guards, the young guards will have the opportunity to support their instructors in the implementation of national defense training. On the other hand, the young guards themselves said that these camp days were very valuable, because during the lessons they had the opportunity to learn a lot of new things, gain experience and meet new friends. After the end of the camp, the young guards went to Rēzekni to observe the May 4th military parade in honor of the 34th anniversary of the restoration of the independence of the Republic of Latvia, in which Latvian NBS armored vehicles and various types of platforms were represented. In the parade, the Young Guards were represented by the young guards of the 2nd district administration. Level 4 in the young guard movement is the final level, after successful completion of which the young guard has an advantage in selection for entering the National Armed Forces, the National Defense Academy, the State Police College, the College of Fire Safety and Civil Defense and the State Border Guard College.
