For about twenty years, major works have been undertaken on the site of this magnificent castle in Cathar Country in the Aude: restoration, archaeological excavations and developments. Each year, entire sections of the ruins regain a legibility that suggests a medieval (10th / 12th century) and royal (13th century) fortress of considerable importance. This film retraces 4 years of work and the main phases of this transfiguration. Archaeologists, architect of the Bâtiments de France, masons, the mayor and General Councilor, the castle preservation association, are all testimonies that highlight the work carried out by each in perfect synergy.
