This is a Notion template that automatically saves book information to a Notion database using the Apps Script of Google Forms and Google Sheets for responses, and allows you to easily create reading notes using Notion Forms. I created three databases (book information, table of contents information, and insights) in Notion, and embedded a Google Form to create a template for reading notes. Since the Google Sheets for responses and the Apps Script that runs within them cannot be attached together, I have shared the method of making them and the script in the manual. You can refer to it and create them as is. When creating reading notes, sometimes it feels like labor to retrieve and organize book information. I created a script that automatically retrieves book information provided by Aladdin using the Aladdin API, and retrieves high-quality book covers and table of contents information that Aladdin does not provide in its free API. When using make.com or Zapier, costs may arise as the automation processing increases, so I worked only with Google Scripts. By simply entering the ISBN in the Google form, you can automatically import the book information into the Notion database. In addition, for cases where a large number of books need to be organized, such as in a library, batch processing is possible when entering multiple ISBNs. Although the content is long, I have filled in the content so that you can easily create a functional reading note by following only the template duplication and one video. I hope it will be helpful.
