The Minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Márcio Macêdo, stated that the proposal to tax billionaires’ fortunes by 2% could “solve the problem of 350 million people” who suffer from hunger. The topic should be addressed in the final report of the G20 Social, an initiative parallel to the G20, which seeks to increase the participation of sectors of society in the discussions of the Summit of Heads of State. The document will be delivered to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) this Saturday (11/16). In a speech this Thursday (11/14), Macêdo commented on the tax proposal: “One percent of these rich people control the world’s wealth. A two percent tax doesn’t even tickle them. It’s so little. But that means it could solve the problem of 350 million hungry people on planet Earth.” ➡️ Like and subscribe to our channel! Follow our social media: ???? Facebook: metropolesdf ????
